RhinoRev works alongside existing professional expertise, without replacing the people already advising, financing, managing or investing in the business.

You do not need to diagnose a business, identify a weakness or determine which RhinoRev examination it requires.

The purpose is to recognise when independent commercial examination may be useful alongside existing professional work.
Collaboration can work in either direction.

A professional encounters a business or commercial situation where independent examination may be relevant. RhinoRev considers whether there is a feasible basis for examination.
From RhinoRev to a professional
RhinoRev encounters a business whose circumstances may call for expertise outside its examination. Where appropriate, and with the business's agreement, an introduction to a relevant professional may be considered.
Collaboration can also begin through conversation
Professionals may explore educational events, shared discussions or opportunities to help businesses understand when independent commercial examination could matter. An immediate client opportunity is not required.

Ways to Commission an Examination
The commercial question determines the examination, not the other way around.
The starting point is what the client has reason to understand and what can meaningfully be examined.
RhinoRev considers the circumstances and agrees the scope before work begins.
COMMERCIAL ASSESSMENT
A preliminary independent examination of an agreed commercial question or situation.
A Commercial Assessment considers an agreed question at a preliminary level, primarily using evidence that can be examined without extensive internal access.
It may establish useful initial findings, provide sufficient understanding for the immediate purpose or indicate whether a more substantial examination would be appropriate.
Its scope and evidential limitations matter. A Commercial Assessment should not be presented as sufficient evidence for substantial financing, valuation, acquisition or other consequential third-party reliance.
Commercial Evidence Scan
An independent examination across selected, agreed commercial areas, establishing what the available evidence supports.
A Scan may establish commercially significant observations, provide sufficient understanding for the client's immediate purposes or identify matters warranting closer examination.
A Scan is an examination in its own right. It does not have to lead to another service.
Commercial Evidence Diagnostic
A more substantive independent examination of an agreed commercial scope, drawing on relevant information and access where appropriate.
A Diagnostic may be commissioned directly where the circumstances warrant greater depth.
It is not an automatic progression from a Scan.
Focused Commercial Examination (FCE)
When a particular commercial matter warrants closer examination.
A business may already have something specific it wants independently examined.
Alternatively, a Scan or Diagnostic may establish evidence that brings a commercially significant matter into view.
FCE provides a separately commissioned examination of that defined matter.
For example, an owner preparing for succession may want to understand how much customer value is embedded in the organisation rather than dependent on particular individuals.
Or a business considering investment may want to examine whether a particular commercial assumption is supported by the available evidence.
FCE can be commissioned directly or following another RhinoRev examination.
The question can be agreed. The answer cannot. RhinoRev independently establishes what the evidence supports.
A Commercial Assessment, Scan, Diagnostic or Focused Commercial Examination may provide sufficient understanding for the purpose agreed.
Further examination may be appropriate, or none may be necessary.
There is no required sequence and no obligation to commission additional work.
