Independence

What does independent actually mean?

Independence does not mean RhinoRev works in isolation. It means the examination is not required to support a predetermined position, conclusion or commercial outcome.

RhinoRev establishes what the evidence supports.

Reinforce what is already understood. Change the significance of something already known. Connect evidence previously understood separately. Establish additional commercially significant evidence. Establish insufficient reason for further examination.

All five have to be possible.

Otherwise the examination is being asked to prove something. And that isn't RhinoRev's job.

The evidence determines the findings.

RhinoRev doesn't own the decision.

The people responsible remain responsible. RhinoRev independently examines the agreed area or question and establishes what the evidence supports. What happens next belongs to responsible people.

RhinoRev does not need evidence to point one way or another.

The findings are determined by the evidence.

Working alongside others

Independence doesn't mean working alone.

RhinoRev can work alongside management, owners, advisers, accountants, finance providers, investors, family offices and specialists. Their involvement does not make RhinoRev part of their position, nor them part of RhinoRev's examination.

Working together doesn't remove the boundary.

Collaboration can create the opportunity for examination. It cannot determine the finding.

An accountant, adviser, finance provider, family office or owner may recognise a situation in which an examination could be relevant. None determines what the examination must establish.

Who introduces RhinoRev does not determine what RhinoRev finds.

The boundary

Being involved doesn't mean having access to everything.

Why information is shared matters. Who it is shared with matters. Commissioning, confidentiality and permitted-use arrangements remain relevant. RhinoRev methodology and IP remain protected.

The boundary remains.

The question can be agreed. The answer cannot.

The commissioning party may have a reason and an agreed area or question. Relevant information may be made available. The examination is not commissioned to substantiate a required conclusion.

RhinoRev determines what the evidence supports within scope.

What happens next

Evidence can create work for someone else.

Evidence may require legal, financial, operational, technical or other specialist expertise. RhinoRev does not need to become that provider.

The reverse can also happen: another specialist may recognise where independent examination is relevant.

The situation comes first.

Establishing the evidence and acting on it are different responsibilities.

RhinoRev establishes what the evidence supports. Appropriate people decide what should happen and who should undertake it.

RhinoRev does not need to own the remedy for the examination to have value.

How RhinoRev enters does not change the examination.

Direct business or owner approach and professional introduction are both valid. The route into RhinoRev does not determine the required outcome.

Independent by design

RhinoRev can work alongside others.

It can collaborate. It can enter situations already surrounded by considerable expertise. None of that changes the job.

Examine independently. Establish what the evidence supports. Responsible people determine what it means for them.

Evidence Creates Leverage.
